Marion County man sentenced to over 12 years for drug and firearm charges

Vincent Irving Jones, a 34-year-old resident of Fairmont, West Virginia, received a sentence of 151 months in federal prison following convictions related to methamphetamine possession and firearm offenses. The sentencing took place in Clarksburg.

Court documents and statements revealed that Jones was found with methamphetamine and a pistol in Marion County. Due to his multiple prior felony convictions, Jones was prohibited from possessing firearms.

The prosecution was led by Assistant U.S. Attorney Will Rhee. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives worked alongside the Fairmont Police Department during the investigation. Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh oversaw the proceedings.
