The United States has congratulated Anutin Charnvirakul on his selection as the next Prime Minister of Thailand. In a statement, U.S. officials expressed their intention to work with Prime Minister Anutin and his government to reinforce the partnership between the two countries.
"We look forward to working with Prime Minister Anutin and his government to strengthen our deep partnership based on common interests. I am confident that together, our efforts will continue to advance peace, economic prosperity, and freedom throughout the Indo-Pacific," the statement read.
Thailand is a key partner for the United States in Southeast Asia, and both nations have cooperated on various regional issues including security, trade, and development.
