A Warm Springs, Oregon man has been sentenced to federal prison for assault and firearm possession charges. Antoine Scott, 28, received a sentence of 28 months in federal prison followed by three years of supervised release.
Court documents state that in June 2023, Scott approached a truck on the Warm Springs reservation and punched the passenger through the window. The incident resulted in the passenger sustaining a head injury and a hand injury that required stitches.
After his initial release from custody, Scott absconded from pretrial supervision. Authorities arrested him again in June 2024, at which time police recovered two firearms from his residence. Jefferson County deputies also found methamphetamine concealed in Scott’s sock.
Scott pleaded guilty on May 21, 2025, to assault resulting in serious bodily injury and prohibited possession of a firearm.
The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation with assistance from the Warm Springs Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Pam Paaso prosecuted the case.
