President nominates three major generals for key Air Force leadership roles

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced on September 8, 2025, that the president has nominated three Air Force major generals for promotion to lieutenant general and new assignments.

Air Force Maj. Gen. Kenyon K. Bell has been nominated for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general, with assignment as deputy chief of staff, Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection at Headquarters U.S. Air Force in the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Bell is currently serving as director of Logistics, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection at Headquarters U.S. Air Force.

Air Force Maj. Gen. Robert D. Davis is nominated for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general and assigned as commander of Alaskan Command under U.S. Northern Command; commander of Eleventh Air Force under Pacific Air Forces; and commander of Alaskan North American Aerospace Defense Region at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska. Davis is currently director of Operations at U.S. Northern Command located at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado.

Air Force Maj. Gen. Brandon D. Parker has been nominated for appointment to lieutenant general with assignment as deputy chief of staff, Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration at Headquarters U.S. Air Force in the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Parker currently serves as director of Global Operations at U.S. Strategic Command based at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska.
