Lancaster man indicted for drug trafficking and firearm offenses

A Lancaster man has been indicted on federal charges related to drug trafficking and firearms offenses. According to United States Attorney David Metcalf, Dwain London Jr., 37, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine base (commonly known as crack) and cocaine, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

The indictment alleges that on or about May 14, 2025, London knowingly possessed more than 28 grams of crack and an unspecified amount of cocaine with the intent to distribute. It also states that he was found with a loaded 9 mm semiautomatic handgun despite being prohibited from possessing firearms due to his status as a convicted felon.

If convicted, London faces up to life imprisonment and fines totaling $5.5 million. There is also a mandatory minimum sentence of ten years in prison.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives worked alongside the Lancaster County Drug Task Force in investigating the case. Assistant United States Attorney Thomas M. Zaleski is prosecuting.

"The charges and allegations contained in the indictment are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty in court," said the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
