A Colbert, Oklahoma resident has pleaded guilty to a federal firearm offense. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Justin Eagle Chambers, 39, admitted to one count of Possession of Firearm & Ammunition by Prohibited Person. This charge carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
According to the indictment, on March 26, 2025, Chambers knowingly possessed a pistol and ammunition after being given actual notice at a hearing that he was subject to a court order restraining him from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner. The order also prohibited any use or threat of physical force against the individual.
The investigation was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Achille Police Department.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Gerald L. Jackson accepted Chambers’ guilty plea in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma and ordered a presentence investigation report.
A U.S. District Court Judge will determine Chambers’ sentence after reviewing federal sentencing guidelines and other factors.
Chambers will remain in custody with the United States Marshals Service until sentencing.
