The American Farm Bureau Federation has joined forces with the Food and Agriculture - Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Food and Ag-ISAC) to enhance cybersecurity in the food and agriculture sector. This partnership is part of the Food and Ag-ISAC's Industry Association Partner Program, which provides members with weekly threat reports, incident alerts, and expert cybersecurity insights.

Jonathan Braley, director of the Food and Ag-ISAC, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration: "The Food and Ag-ISAC looks forward to collaborating with the American Farm Bureau Federation as we work together to provide farmers and ranchers the information they need to protect themselves from cyber attacks." He emphasized that AFBF's extensive reach will help disseminate critical information effectively.

Sam Kieffer, vice president of public policy at AFBF, highlighted the importance of addressing cyber risks alongside traditional farming challenges: "From weather to market dynamics and much more, many aspects of farming and ranching carry risk. The American Farm Bureau Federation is pleased to be partnering with the Food and Ag-ISAC to help farmers and ranchers identify newer, less familiar, but potentially just as menacing threats – cyber risks – and learn how to mitigate them."

The partnership aims to strengthen cybersecurity across the industry by supporting organizations in navigating digital threats. Other associations in this program include FMI – The Food Industry Association, International Dairy Foods Association, Meat Institute, National Chicken Council, National Grain and Feed Association, and SNAC International.
