Registration is now open for the 2026 SelectUSA Investment Summit, scheduled to take place from May 3 to May 6, 2026, at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. The announcement was made by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick.
The SelectUSA Investment Summit focuses on promoting foreign direct investment (FDI) in the United States and aims to connect international investors with U.S. economic development organizations (EDOs). In 2025, the event drew more than 5,500 participants from over 100 countries and included over 1,100 economic developers representing all U.S. states and territories. That summit led to nearly $1 billion in new investment announcements.
The upcoming summit coincides with the celebration of America’s 250th birthday in 2026. According to organizers, this milestone will be highlighted during the event as an example of continued strength and opportunity within the U.S. economy.
“As President Trump’s America First Investment Policy continues to revitalize the U.S. economy, there has never been a better time to invest in the United States,” said U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick. “The SelectUSA Investment Summit plays an instrumental part in facilitating and amplifying foreign direct investment into the United States. We look forward to the 2026 SelectUSA Investment Summit, which will help to further spur investment in critical sectors - especially as we celebrate 250 years of American enterprise and ingenuity.”
Attendees at this year’s summit can expect presentations from senior administration officials, business executives, and industry leaders; access to an exhibition hall featuring EDOs, federal agencies, service providers, experts, and startups; opportunities for industry-focused networking; and information sessions aimed at helping businesses shape their strategies.
Foreign direct investment remains a priority for current policymakers. Since the start of this administration, SelectUSA has supported 88 investment projects valued at $22.1 billion and helped create more than 11,000 jobs across the country.
SelectUSA operates within the International Trade Administration at the Department of Commerce and works with various federal agencies as a single point of contact for investors considering projects in the United States. It assists both domestic economic development organizations seeking global investments and foreign companies looking for information about investing or expanding operations in America.
