Little Rock man convicted on drug trafficking and firearms charges

Jonathan D. Ross U.S. Attorney | U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas

A federal jury has convicted Spencer Walker, 36, of Little Rock on charges related to methamphetamine distribution and firearm possession. The announcement was made by Jonathan D. Ross, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas.

Walker was indicted on August 5, 2025, by a federal grand jury with three counts: conspiracy to possess methamphetamine with intent to distribute, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking. The four-day trial took place before United States District Judge Lee P. Rudofsky. The jury reached its verdict in less than 45 minutes, finding Walker guilty on all counts.

According to evidence presented at trial, in September 2022 the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) intercepted two packages each containing five pounds of methamphetamine. Law enforcement conducted a controlled delivery to Walker’s address and subsequently obtained a search warrant for his residence. During the search, officers found another unopened package containing ten pounds of methamphetamine and discovered a shotgun with a 25-round drum magazine in Walker’s bedroom.

Further investigation revealed that law enforcement tracked the owner of the residence and noted frequent visits to another house in Bryant, Arkansas. Authorities learned that three additional packages addressed to the Bryant residence—each containing ten pounds of methamphetamine—had previously been intercepted. In January 2023, law enforcement intercepted another package destined for the Bryant address with an additional ten pounds of methamphetamine. Through these interceptions by USPIS as well as witness statements and photo identification, officers identified Walker as the intended recipient for all parcels containing methamphetamine.

Walker now faces a minimum sentence of fifteen years in federal prison without parole.

The investigation was led by the United States Postal Inspection Service with assistance from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Assistant United States Attorney Katie Hinojosa prosecuted the case.
