OJ Rashad Green, 36, also known as “Ice,” from Accokeek, Maryland, has been sentenced to nine years in federal prison and three years of supervised release for distributing fentanyl in the Accokeek area. The sentence was handed down by District Judge Deborah K. Chasanow.
The announcement was made by Kelly O. Hayes, U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland, along with officials from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Washington Division, Baltimore Police Department, and Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.
Green was found guilty after a six-day trial in February 2025. A federal jury determined that he knowingly and intentionally distributed fentanyl on four separate occasions between January 21, 2022, and September 28, 2022. Evidence presented at trial showed that Green used his home as a base for distributing fentanyl.
Law enforcement arrested Green following several controlled purchases arranged by officers. These operations confirmed that his residence served as a distribution hub for fentanyl.
During sentencing, prosecutors introduced further evidence showing that Green distributed large quantities of fentanyl over several years. They also described an extensive distribution network operated by Green both within and outside Accokeek. Prosecutors said he recruited individuals addicted to fentanyl to work as drug testers and runners.
U.S. Attorney Hayes commended the DEA and Charles County Sheriff’s Office for their investigative efforts. She also acknowledged Assistant U.S. Attorneys Darren S. Gardner and Brooke Oki for prosecuting the case.
