Pam Bondi, the United States Attorney General, said that Department of Justice (DOJ) attorneys are effectively combating crime and opposing discrimination in court cases. She made this assertion during her testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
"My attorneys have done incredible work advancing President Trump's agenda and protecting the executive branch from judicial overreach," said Bondi. "We have been sued more than 400 times. In the face of that historic opposition, we are still winning cases."
According to Bondi, despite historical legal challenges, DOJ attorneys have been successful in court. She highlighted that the Department has secured victories in 22 cases at the Supreme Court since January.
Bondi further emphasized the DOJ's commitment to civil rights, saying their attorneys are "fighting discrimination and anti-Semitism."
Additionally, she praised the efforts of DOJ criminal attorneys who prosecute violent crimes and terrorists "every single day."
Pam Bondi is serving as the 87th Attorney General of the United States. Prior to this role, she was the Florida Attorney General from 2011 to 2019. Bondi has also been a member of the Board of Trustees for the Kennedy Center and has held various leadership positions at the America First Policy Institute.
