Tai Foong USA has announced a recall of certain Fusia Asian Inspirations Veggie Spring Rolls due to the presence of undeclared shrimp. The product, sold in 10-ounce packages and distributed exclusively through ALDI stores nationwide, may pose a risk to individuals with shellfish allergies.

The affected packages can be identified by UPC 4099100222258 and have a Best Before date of May 17, 2027, printed on the back panel. According to Tai Foong USA, "the product may contain shrimp, a known allergen, that is not declared on the label. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to shrimp or shellfish run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product."

No other products under the Fusia Asian Inspirations brand are impacted by this recall. The company explained that some cases of Shrimp Spring Rolls were mistakenly packaged in boxes labeled as Vegetable Spring Rolls. The labeling error is currently under investigation.

Tai Foong USA stated, "The recall is being conducted in cooperation with ALDI and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration." At this time, there have been no confirmed reports of allergic reactions or illnesses related to this issue.

Consumers who purchased the recalled spring rolls are advised not to eat them and should either discard the product or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. For questions, customers can contact Tai Foong USA at (206) 883-2317 during business hours or email bcox@northernchef.com.
