Jody’s recalls Cabot Creamery popcorn for undeclared peanuts; no illnesses reported

Jody’s Inc., based in Norfolk, Virginia, has announced a recall of its Cabot Creamery Sea Salt Caramel Cheddar Popcorn due to undeclared peanuts. The recall affects 6 oz (170 g) bags with lot number 2519907B1 and an expiration date of July 15, 2026. The affected product carries the UPC code 8 50016 94430 6.

The popcorn was distributed by Jody’s Inc. on July 23, 2025. It was packaged in foil printed bags and shipped in six-pack boxes to a distribution warehouse in Illinois before being sent to distribution centers in California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina, Oregon and Texas. From there, it reached retail locations across the United States.

The issue came to light after The Farmer Companies, Inc. notified Jody’s Inc. on October 15, 2025 that two customers had reported finding peanuts in their bags of the product. So far no illnesses have been reported.

Consumers who have purchased this product are advised to return it for a full refund or discard it if they have concerns about peanut allergies.
