Among the most notable actions was the bipartisan agreement reached by Senators Cruz and Cantwell on the Rotorcraft Operations Transparency and Oversight Reform (ROTOR) Act. According to the committee, this legislation aims to enhance aviation safety following a fatal plane crash at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in January. "The ROTOR Act will make flying safer in light of January’s fatal plane crash at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport," committee leaders stated.

Joyce Meyer of Virginia was approved as Under Secretary of Commerce for Economic Affairs with an identical vote count. Seval Oz of California received 16 votes in favor and 12 against for the position of Assistant Secretary of Transportation for Research and Technology.
