E.A. Sween Company has announced a recall of its Deli Express BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich due to the possible presence of plastic particles in the product. The company said this could pose a choking hazard if swallowed.

The recalled product is identified by UPC 0-41433-13087-2 and includes specific lot codes, which can be found on the ingredient label next to the barcode on each package. The affected sandwiches were sold across the continental United States, Hawaii, and Guam through convenience stores as well as grocery and mass retail outlets between January 16 and October 23, 2025.

Retailers have been directed to remove any affected products from shelves and inventory immediately. E.A. Sween advised consumers not to eat the sandwiches from these lots and stated that they may return them to the store for a refund.

"There have been no injuries or illnesses as a result of consumers ingesting plastic particles," according to E.A. Sween Company. "However, any product from the affected lots should be considered potentially contaminated."

Customers with questions can contact E.A. Sween Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. CST at 1-800-328-8184 by selecting option #2.

The company emphasized that it is recalling these items out of concern for consumer safety.
