JFE Franchising, Inc., based in Houston, Texas, has announced a voluntary recall of certain products containing California-grown yellow and white peaches due to the potential risk of Listeria contamination. The recall affects Peach Salsa sold under the SNOWFRUIT label at Kroger stores.

Listeria monocytogenes can cause symptoms such as fever, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. In severe cases, it may result in stillbirth. The company advises anyone experiencing these symptoms to seek medical attention immediately.

No illnesses or consumer complaints have been reported so far.

The decision to recall was made following an October 29, 2025 recall by Moonlight Companies. Their peaches were supplied to retailer partners and used as ingredients in JFE Franchising’s Peach Salsa product sold through Kroger.

"Our voluntary recall was initiated on November 3, 2025, in alignment with our commitment to consumer safety and regulatory compliance," the company stated.

The affected products were distributed in plastic clam-shell containers labeled SNOWFRUIT. Consumers can identify recalled items by checking for specific sell-by dates and lot numbers listed on the product label. A full list of locations where the recalled SNOWFRUIT products were sold is available here.

Customers who purchased any affected SNOWFRUIT items are advised not to consume them and should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund or dispose of them safely. For questions, consumers can contact hello@snowfruit.com.

"JFE Franchising, Inc., is committed to implementing all measures necessary to fully resolve this situation. The safety and wellbeing of our consumers is our top priority," according to the company’s statement.
