The House Committee on Education and Workforce, led by Chairman Rep. Tim Walberg (R-MI), is scheduled to hold a markup session for three bills aimed at providing more flexibility and support for American workers. The session will take place tomorrow at 10:15 a.m. in Room 2175 of the Rayburn House Office Building.

The committee will consider H.R. 2870, known as the Working Families Flexibility Act; H.R. 2312, the Tipped Employee Protection Act; and H.R. 2299, titled the Ensuring Workers Get PAID Act of 2025. These legislative proposals are designed to expand options for families, increase earnings potential for tipped employees, and address issues related to timely payment when payroll errors occur.

Chairman Walberg stated that these measures are intended to "expand flexibility for families, boost earnings for tipped workers, and ensure workers get paid faster when payroll mistakes occur."

The markup is open to members of the press and will also be available via live stream on the Committee’s YouTube page.
