The United States has extended congratulations to the Sultanate of Oman on its National Day, recognizing the longstanding relationship between the two countries. In a statement, U.S. officials expressed their appreciation for over two centuries of friendship with Oman, highlighting shared values and interests.
"As the United States approaches the 250th anniversary of our independence in 2026, we reflect with appreciation on Oman’s enduring role as a bridge of dialogue, stability, and mutual respect in the region," the statement read.
Officials noted that this year saw growth in bilateral cooperation in several areas, including regional peace efforts, maritime security, trade, investment, and educational exchanges. The U.S. reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening these ties and announced plans to further develop relations at an upcoming Strategic Dialogue next year.
"The United States remains deeply committed to strengthening these bonds and creating new opportunities that benefit both our countries. We look forward to building on this progress at our upcoming Strategic Dialogue next year," according to the statement.
Best wishes were also extended for Oman's National Day and for ongoing prosperity in the country.
