A Des Moines resident, Jeremiah Kenneth McGregor, 23, has been sentenced to 21 and a half years in federal prison for his involvement in multiple robberies and firearms offenses. The sentencing took place on November 20, 2025.
Court documents and evidence presented during the sentencing revealed that McGregor robbed four Git-N-Go convenience stores in the Des Moines area while armed with a firearm on October 5, 7, 10, and 12 of 2024. He also attempted to rob a fifth Git-N-Go location on October 6, 2024. In each incident, McGregor entered the store, brandished a firearm at an employee, and demanded cash. On October 13, 2024, police arrested McGregor after he fled from officers during a traffic stop while carrying a loaded firearm.
Following his prison term, McGregor will serve five years of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay $1,346 in restitution. There is no parole available in the federal system. The court mandated that this federal sentence will run consecutively to a state sentence imposed after his parole was revoked in December 2024.
McGregor’s co-defendant, Donault Seandrea Logan, also of Des Moines and aged 23, is scheduled for sentencing on January 6, 2026.
United States Attorney David C. Waterman of the Southern District of Iowa stated: "This case was investigated by the Des Moines Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives."
