Henrry Dany Herrera-Hernandez, a 52-year-old Honduran national, was sentenced to time served for unlawful reentry after being found in Pittsburg County, Oklahoma. The sentencing follows an investigation by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement Division and the Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Office.
Herrera-Hernandez pleaded guilty on July 29, 2025. Investigators reported that on June 17, 2025, he was located in the United States without permission from the Secretary of Homeland Security to reapply for admission following his previous removal on December 24, 2019.
"This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime. Operation Take Back America streamlines efforts and resources from the Department’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN)."
The hearing was overseen by U.S. District Judge John F. Heil III in Muskogee. Assistant U.S. Attorney Erin Cornell represented the government.
