Jamestown woman charged with meth possession after police search

A Jamestown woman has been arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, according to an announcement from U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo. Micayla L. Blair, 23, faces a potential maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine if convicted.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua A. Violanti reported that on October 30, 2025, law enforcement executed a search warrant at a residence on William Street associated with Blair. Authorities found suspected crystal methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a pistol during the search.

Blair appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael J. Roemer for her initial hearing and was ordered detained.

The investigation involved multiple agencies including the Jamestown Police Department led by Chief Timothy Jackson, the Drug Enforcement Administration’s New York Field Division under Special Agent-in-Charge Frank A. Tarentino III, and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office headed by Sheriff James Quattrone.

Officials emphasized: "The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty."
