On November 25, 2025, the President signed S. 2392, known as the “Veterans’ Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act of 2025,” into law. This legislation will increase the rates of compensation for veterans with service-connected disabilities starting December 1, 2025. The law also raises dependency and indemnity compensation rates for survivors of certain disabled veterans.

According to the White House, "S. 2392, the 'Veterans’ Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act of 2025,' which increases, effective as of December 1, 2025, the rates of compensation for veterans with service-connected disabilities and the rates of dependency and indemnity compensation for the survivors of certain disabled veterans, and for other purposes."

These adjustments are part of an ongoing effort to support veterans and their families by ensuring that benefits keep pace with changes in living costs.
