On November 25, 2025, the President signed three bills into law addressing issues related to transportation security, tax administration, and wildlife conservation.
S.260, known as the “Bottles and Breastfeeding Equipment Screening Enhancement Act,” updates existing legislation to mandate that both Transportation Security Administration personnel and private security screeners handle breast milk and baby formula in a hygienic manner during security screenings. This measure aims to ensure the safety and cleanliness of infant feeding supplies at airports.
H.R. 998, titled the “Internal Revenue Service Math and Taxpayer Help Act,” requires the Internal Revenue Service to provide taxpayers with detailed information when a mathematical or clerical error is found on their tax return. The bill also mandates that notices be sent regarding abatements of taxes assessed due to such errors and introduces a pilot program for sending these notices.
H.R. 2316, the “Wetlands Conservation and Access Improvement Act of 2025,” extends through fiscal year 2033 the authority to use interest from the Pittman-Robertson Wildlife Restoration fund for certain projects focused on wetlands conservation.
