On December 2, 2025, the President signed two congressional bills into law.

The first bill, H.J. Res 133, authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to allow special and temporary displays on the National Mall and at the Washington Monument. These arrangements will be permitted from December 31, 2025, through January 5, 2026.

The second bill is H.R. 1512, known as the “Taiwan Assurance Implementation Act.” This legislation makes permanent the current requirements for the Department of State to review and report on its guidance to Executive Branch agencies and offices regarding relations with Taiwan.
