The Stimson Center has announced the addition of four new members to its Board of Directors: Brett B. Lambert, Jill Weise, Eliot Kang, and Raj Shah. The appointments are effective immediately and aim to strengthen the organization’s leadership with expertise from government, diplomacy, technology, and industry.

Brett B. Lambert is Managing Director at The Densmore Group. He previously held positions as Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Northrop Grumman and Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manufacturing and Industrial Base Policy from 2009–2013. Lambert has been involved in defense industrial base policy initiatives such as launching the first Manufacturing USA institute. Jill Weise serves as Vice Chair–Client Services and Managing Director at Kroll. She was formerly Kroll’s Chief Impact Officer overseeing ESG strategy and philanthropy efforts as well as leading the global Transfer Pricing practice. Weise has over 25 years’ experience in international taxation with previous roles at Deloitte, Charles River Associates, and Ceteris. She has received recognition from organizations including International Tax Review and Euromoney for her work in her field. Dr. C.S. Eliot Kang is a former Acting Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security who also served as Assistant Secretary for International Security and Nonproliferation during his more than two decades at the U.S. State Department. He contributed to diplomatic efforts such as the Six-Party Talks on North Korea’s nuclear program and supported multilateral engagement on arms control issues including Iran’s nuclear file referral to the U.N., along with work on dual-use technologies policy development globally. Raj Shah co-founded Shield Capital where he is Managing Partner focusing on commercial innovation relevant to national defense needs; he previously led DIUx at the Pentagon connecting Silicon Valley technology firms with defense priorities.
