Mellace Family Brands California, Inc., based in Warren, Ohio, has announced a recall of Wegmans Deluxe Mixed Nuts Unsalted in both 34 oz tubs and 11.5 oz bags due to possible Salmonella contamination. The affected products were distributed at Wegmans stores across Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. between November 3 and December 1, 2025.

The recall covers the following items:

- Wegmans Deluxe Mixed Nuts Unsalted 34 oz (UPC 077890421314), lot code 58041 with a best by date of July 28, 2026.

- Wegmans Deluxe Mixed Nuts Unsalted 11.5 oz (UPC 077890421352), lot code 58171 with a best by date of August 10, 2026.

Salmonella can cause serious infections especially in young children, elderly people, or those with weakened immune systems. Symptoms may include fever, diarrhea (sometimes bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare cases it can lead to more severe illnesses if the infection spreads beyond the digestive tract.

No illnesses related to these products have been reported so far.

According to Mellace Family Brands California Inc., "The issue was discovered after routine testing by our supplier found one lot of raw pistachios to be positive for Salmonella. A recall was initiated after determining these pistachios had been further used in the production of the Deluxe Mixed Nuts products."

Customers who bought either product with the specified lot codes are advised to return them to any Wegmans service desk for a full refund. For questions or concerns, consumers can contact Wegmans Food Markets at 1-855-934-3663 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. EST daily.
