The House Committee on Education and Workforce, led by Chairman Rep. Tim Walberg (R-MI), will hold a markup session on Thursday at 10:15 a.m. to consider four bills aimed at improving transparency and access in higher education.

The committee will review the Home School Graduation Recognition Act (H.R. 6392), which seeks to support homeschoolers; a bill to amend the Higher Education Act of 1965 (H.R. 6472) that would allow certain residents of Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, and the United States Virgin Islands to receive in-state tuition rates; the Student Financial Clarity Act (H.R. 6498); and the College Financial Aid Clarity Act (H.R. 6502).

The markup is scheduled for December 11, 2025, at 2175 Rayburn House Office Building. The event is open to members of the press and will also be live-streamed on the Committee’s YouTube page.
