Cyril Swan, a 30-year-old resident of Syracuse, has been sentenced to 120 months in prison for distributing and possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute. The sentencing took place last week in Albany, New York. Acting United States Attorney John A. Sarcone III and Bryan DiGirolamo, Special Agent in Charge of the New York Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), announced the outcome.
Swan had previously pleaded guilty to selling both methamphetamine and fentanyl during the summer of 2024. According to court documents, he admitted to selling about 100 grams of methamphetamine and 8 grams of fentanyl.
Senior United States District Court Judge David N. Hurd also ordered that Swan serve five years on supervised release after completing his prison sentence.
Acting U.S. Attorney John Sarcone stated: “Peddling dangerous drugs like fentanyl and methamphetamine in this District will not be tolerated. I commend ATF for getting this dealer off the streets for 10 years and sending a message to other would-be drug dealers.”

The case was investigated by ATF with help from the Syracuse Police Department Criminal Intelligence Division and the New York State Police Community Stabilization Unit. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jessica N. Carbone handled prosecution.
