Kingston man pleads guilty to kidnapping and theft on Chickasaw Nation Reservation

A resident of Kingston, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to kidnapping and theft charges in federal court. According to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, Louis Lee Ray Hamons, 23, admitted guilt to two counts of kidnapping and one count of theft in Indian Country.

Court documents state that on March 2, 2025, Hamons unlawfully seized and abducted two victims. He also stole a vehicle valued at more than $1,000 on the same day. The incidents occurred in Marshall County within the Chickasaw Nation Reservation.

The case was investigated by multiple agencies, including the Madill Police Department, Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Bureau of Indian Affairs, and Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The Honorable Jason A. Robertson, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, accepted Hamons’ plea and ordered a presentence investigation report. Sentencing will be determined by a U.S. District Court Judge after review of federal guidelines and statutory factors.

Hamons faces up to life in prison and a $250,000 fine for each kidnapping count. The theft charge carries a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine. He is currently in custody awaiting sentencing.
