U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) posted a series of statements on December 11 and 12, 2025, highlighting recent enforcement actions in Minnesota and urging cooperation from local authorities.
On December 11, ICE stated: "Sexual predators, drug traffickers, Tren de Aragua members, and more — these are just a few of the Worst of the Worst @ICEgov is taking off Minnesota’s streets. https://t.co/l9LlDCcogW".
Later that day, ICE announced the arrest of an individual described as a member of an international criminal organization: "We arrested convicted THIEF and previously deported TREN DE ARAGUA TERRORIST Venezuelan Andriu Javier Padron-Chacare. On December 12, ICE addressed local law enforcement agencies regarding cooperation with federal immigration efforts: "Want ICE out of your neighborhoods? Turn over criminal aliens in your custody to ICE instead of putting them back into your communities where we must find them — again. https://t.co/ly1mbeb1Rb".
Tren de Aragua is known as a violent transnational criminal group originating from Venezuela that has expanded its operations internationally in recent years.
