White Castle Frozen Food Division has recalled 1,021 cases of its retail frozen 4-count cartons of Original Sliders due to the presence of undeclared milk and soy. The company reported that some cartons may contain Jalapeño Cheese Sliders, which have milk and soy not listed on the Original Slider carton label. This could pose a risk for people with allergies or sensitivities to these ingredients.
The affected products were distributed to retailers between August and October 2025 and were primarily sold in convenience stores across all 50 states. The recalled items are packaged in blue and white cardboard boxes with UPC# 0-82988-02969-3, each containing two individually wrapped packs of sliders.
The recall involves lot codes 9H203521 and 9H203522, which can be found printed within a light-blue bar on the end panel of the carton, followed by the best by date. Only products with these exact eight-character lot codes are included in the recall; others are not affected.
The shelf life for these frozen cartons is 270 days, with a best by date of April 18, 2026.
According to White Castle, "During the packaging process, Jalapeño Cheese Sliders were put in the wrong package, and milk and soy are not listed as ingredients or allergens on the packaging." The issue was discovered after a customer experienced a non-life-threatening allergic reaction from consuming one of the incorrectly packaged sliders. No other injuries or illnesses have been reported at this time.
Consumers who purchased any recalled product are advised to return it to where it was bought for a full refund. Questions can be directed to White Castle at 1-800-843-2728, available around the clock throughout the week.
