EAC Casey O. Durst, Executive Assistant Commissioner for Operations Support at U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), recently shared updates on social media regarding voluntary departure programs and recognized the anniversary of the U.S. National Guard.
On December 12, 2025, Durst highlighted features of the CBP Home application in both Spanish and English. She followed up with an English-language message: " Ready to unwrap the gift of a fresh start? The @CBP Home app makes voluntary departure simple with cost-free travel, a $1,000 exit bonus, and resources to help you return home. Learn more at https://t.co/RHidqAkKfL. #CBPHome"
The next day, on December 13, 2025, Durst marked the birthday of the National Guard by posting: "Happy 389th birthday to the @USNationalGuard! For nearly four centuries, you’ve stood ready to serve and protect our nation—at home and abroad. On behalf of @CBP Operations Support, thank you for your unwavering commitment and service! #AlwaysReadyAlwaysThere"
The CBP Home application is part of efforts by U.S. Customs and Border Protection to streamline voluntary departures for eligible individuals. The program offers incentives such as free travel arrangements and financial support upon leaving the United States.
The U.S. National Guard was established in 1636 as one of the oldest military organizations in America; it continues to play a key role in domestic response as well as overseas deployments.
