Education and Workforce Committee Chairman Tim Walberg (R-MI) has responded to the Department of Labor’s November jobs report, highlighting ongoing gaps in employment data due to a recent government shutdown.
“Because of the Democrat shutdown, we are still missing key information about the October jobs numbers. Despite this hiccup, job creation in November continues to demonstrate that Republican policies are delivering results. We remain committed to building on these gains and making America more affordable for working families,” Walberg stated.
The chairman pointed out that the absence of October figures stems from disruptions caused by the shutdown, but he emphasized continued job growth in November as evidence of effective policy.
