PlantBased Innovations, based in Leominster, Massachusetts, has issued a recall for its Higher Harvest by H-E-B Dairy-Free Coconut Yogurt in the strawberry flavor due to undeclared almond content. The company stated that individuals with almond allergies or severe sensitivities are at risk of experiencing serious or potentially life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the affected product.
The recalled yogurt was distributed through H-E-B’s distribution centers and retail grocery stores across Texas. The specific product under recall is packaged in 5.3-ounce plastic yogurt cups with foil lids, bearing a Best By date of January 2, 2026 (Best By: 01/02/26) printed on the bottom.
According to PlantBased Innovations, "No illnesses or injuries have been reported to date."
The recall began after a customer complaint led to the discovery that yogurt containing almond was distributed in packaging that did not declare almonds as an ingredient. PlantBased Innovations advises consumers who have purchased the affected product and have an almond allergy or sensitivity not to consume it. They recommend returning the product to the place of purchase for a full refund or disposing of it safely.
