President nominates Rear Adm. Richard E. Seif Jr. to lead submarine forces

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced that President has nominated Navy Rear Adm. Richard E. Seif, Jr. for promotion to vice admiral. If confirmed, Seif will serve as commander of Naval Submarine Forces, commander of Submarine Force for the U.S. Atlantic Fleet, and commander of Allied Submarine Command in Norfolk, Virginia.

Currently, Rear Adm. Seif is the program manager for Australia-United Kingdom-U.S. Integration and Acquisition at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, D.C.
