U.S. Senator Joni Ernst, Chair of the Senate Small Business Committee, has named LeRette Funeral Chapel in Montgomery County as her Small Business of the Week. This recognition is part of her ongoing effort during the 119th Congress to highlight a small business from each of Iowa’s 99 counties.
“During life’s most difficult moments, LeRette Funeral Chapel is there to provide families with personalized and affordable care and services,” said Chair Ernst. “Through kindness, patience, and respect, Brian and Dawn LeRette are committed to supporting the Red Oak community with dignity and compassion.”
LeRette Funeral Chapel was established in 1914 and has served Southwest Iowa for over a century. The business is currently owned by Brian and Dawn LeRette. In 2023, a fire destroyed their original facility, but with support from the Red Oak community, they rebuilt at a new location and reopened in 2025.
Chair Ernst will continue this weekly recognition program throughout her term.
