Bucks County teacher pleads guilty to child pornography charges

A Warminster man has pleaded guilty to child pornography charges, according to an announcement from United States Attorney David Metcalf. Richard Adamsky, 66, admitted guilt before United States District Judge Gerald J. Pappert on one count of receipt and attempted receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

Adamsky was indicted in September 2025 for knowingly receiving images depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct on or about June 15, 2024. Authorities found two computers and two flash drives in his possession containing such images, including depictions of prepubescent children and minors under the age of 12. At the time of his arrest, Adamsky was a teacher for seventh and eighth grades at Nativity of Our Lord grade school in Warminster, where he had worked for 38 years.

"This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice. Led by United States Attorneys’ Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS), Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to better locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims. The investigation involved FBI Philadelphia’s Fort Washington Resident Agency along with local police departments from Warminster Township and Upper Merion Township, as well as the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office. Assistant United States Attorney Maureen McCartney is prosecuting the case.
