A Bridgeport man has been sentenced to five years in federal prison for trafficking fentanyl in southwestern Connecticut, according to an announcement from David X. Sullivan, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut.

Jimmy Arce, also known as “Boe,” “Slim,” and “Jimbo,” age 42, received a sentence of 60 months imprisonment and four years of supervised release from U.S. District Judge Michael P. Shea in Hartford. The sentencing follows an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Bridgeport High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force and the Stamford Police Department, which identified Arce as a distributor of fentanyl in the region.

Investigators observed Arce supplying Omar Parra with fentanyl for redistribution and conducted controlled purchases of the drug from Parra. Arce was arrested on May 14, 2024. Searches of his residence and vehicle led to the discovery of fentanyl, scales with narcotics residue, and a bulletproof vest.

Arce pleaded guilty on October 21, 2025, to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl. He is currently released on a $200,000 bond and must report to prison on March 12.

Omar Parra, also known as “D” and “Dee,” of Stamford, has also pleaded guilty and remains detained while awaiting sentencing.

The investigation involved multiple agencies including the DEA HIDTA Task Force—comprising personnel from several local police departments—the Stamford Police Department, Bridgeport Police Department, U.S. Marshals Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Connecticut State Police, and police departments from Norwalk, Danbury, Darien, Stratford, Milford, and Stamford.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Patricia Stolfi Collins and Geoffrey M. Stone are prosecuting the case.
