Superfoods Inc., operating as Live it Up and based in New York, has announced a nationwide recall of its Live it Up Super Greens products due to potential Salmonella contamination. The recall affects both the Original and Wild Berry flavors, including all lots that begin with the letter “A” and all stick pack products.
The affected products have been available for purchase online through the company’s website since January 2025 and on Amazon.com since July 30, 2025. Recalled items include: Live it Up Super Greens (NET WT 8.5 oz, UPC 860013190804), Live it Up Super Greens stick packs (30 – 0.28oz sticks, NET WT. 8.47 oz, UPC 850077468063), Live it Up Super Greens Wild Berry (NET WT 8.5 oz, UPC 860013190811), and Wild Berry stick packs (30 – 0.32oz sticks, NET WT. 9.52oz, UPC 850077468070). These products are packaged in green pouches with lot codes printed on the bottom back; affected codes start with “A” or “3” for stick packs and have expiration dates from August 2026 to January 2028.
According to reports from the FDA and CDC, there have been at least 45 illnesses and twelve hospitalizations across the United States linked to Salmonella associated with this product line. Investigations by federal health authorities suggest a connection between these cases and Live it Up Super Greens.
Salmonella infection can cause fever, diarrhea (sometimes bloody), nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain in healthy individuals but may lead to more severe illness such as arterial infections or endocarditis in vulnerable populations like young children or those with weakened immune systems.
Production of Live it Up Super Greens has been suspended while an investigation is underway by both the FDA and the company into the source of contamination.
Consumers who purchased any recalled product are advised not to eat, sell, or serve them; instead they should dispose of them immediately. Refunds can be requested by contacting Live it Up at recall@artofenso.com with relevant order information and photos showing lot codes beginning with “A” or applicable stick pack details.
“Live it Up takes food safety extremely seriously. We apologize for the inconvenience and concern this recall may cause our customers. Our company is committed to ensuring the quality of our products and the well-being of our consumers,” stated a company spokesperson.
