The discussion also covered recent developments in Yemen, with an emphasis on countering threats from Iranian regime-backed Houthi groups. Secretary Rubio and Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed continued their engagement regarding Sudan, highlighting the urgent need for a humanitarian ceasefire.
Both parties agreed to maintain coordination to support regional security and stability and committed to staying in close contact.
