Two men from the Bangor area have been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges related to child exploitation and sex trafficking. Agasha Carvalho, 45, of Bangor, faces charges including production of child pornography, transportation of child pornography, possession of child pornography, and conspiracy to commit sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion. Donovan Miller, 38, of Milford, is charged with conspiracy to commit sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion; four counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion; and production of child pornography.
Carvalho appeared in U.S. District Court for arraignment on November 18, 2025, where he pleaded not guilty. Miller appeared for his arraignment on November 20, 2025, also pleading not guilty.
The case was investigated by the FBI with assistance from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, and the Bangor Police Department.
