Tyrone Noble, 59, has been sentenced to 15 months in federal prison for illegally possessing a firearm and ammunition. The sentencing was announced by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
The case began after an investigation conducted by the Okfuskee County Sheriff’s Office, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Lighthorse Tribal Police Department. According to investigators, on December 2, 2024, law enforcement officers found Noble in possession of a 12-gauge shotgun and five rounds of Winchester 12-gauge ammunition. At that time, Noble had already been convicted of a felony offense.
Noble pleaded guilty to one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition on June 25, 2025.
This prosecution is part of Operation Take Back America. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, this initiative aims to use all available resources from the Department of Justice to address illegal immigration, dismantle cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and protect communities from violent crime.
U.S. District Judge Robert J. Shelby from the District of Utah presided over the hearing in Muskogee while sitting by assignment. Noble will remain in custody with the U.S. Marshals Service until he is transferred to a federal prison facility to serve his sentence without parole.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Kevin Gross prosecuted the case.
