Mondelēz Global LLC has announced an expansion of its voluntary recall for CHIPS AHOY! Baked Bites Brookie products in the United States. The company initially issued a recall on December 24, 2025, and is now including one additional code date (10MAY2026) and two more UPCs for product pouches found inside the recalled carton units.
According to Mondelēz Global LLC, "This is a recall expansion of a previous recall initiated on December 24, 2025." The recall is being conducted due to an incorrect mixing process that led to the formation of small corn starch clumps in the product. These clumps may pose a choking hazard, especially for young children and elderly individuals.
The affected products are limited to certain CHIPS AHOY! Baked Bites Brookie items with specific Best When Used By Dates. Other CHIPS AHOY! or Mondelēz Global LLC products are not impacted by this recall.
The company stated that no injuries or illnesses have been reported so far related to these products. "There have been no reports of injury or illness reported to Mondelēz Global LLC to date related to this product, and we are issuing this recall out of an abundance of caution."
Consumers who have purchased the affected products are advised not to eat them and can contact Mondelēz at 1-855-535-5948 for further information. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is aware of the ongoing recall.
