Leah B. Foley United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts | Department of Justice
A Salvadoran national affiliated with the 18th Street Gang has been sentenced in Boston federal court for distributing fentanyl in the North Shore area. Orlando Mancia, also known as Intruso, age 22, received a sentence of 21 months in prison and three years of supervised release. After serving his sentence, Mancia will be subject to deportation.
Mancia pleaded guilty in August 2025 to charges of distributing and possessing with intent to distribute more than 40 grams of fentanyl. The case involved two transactions in October 2024 where Mancia sold a total of approximately 1,000 pressed fentanyl pills—500 on each occasion—to a cooperating witness. One transaction also included cocaine.
The sentencing was announced by United States Attorney Leah B. Foley, Special Agent in Charge Ted E. Docks of the FBI’s Boston Division, and Special Agent in Charge Thomas Greco of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF) Boston Field Division. Several other agencies contributed to the investigation including Massachusetts State Police; U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement; local district attorney’s offices; and multiple police departments from cities such as Boston, Chelsea, Everett, Lynn, Medford, Nantucket, Falmouth and Revere.
Assistant U.S. Attorneys Timothy Moran from the Criminal Division and Fred Wyshak from the Organized Crime & Gang Unit prosecuted the case.
Officials noted that this prosecution is part of an initiative led by the Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF), established under Executive Order 14159: Protecting the American People Against Invasion. The HSTF brings together various federal agencies to target criminal cartels and transnational gangs operating within the United States and abroad. Its efforts focus on investigating crimes involving child trafficking or offenses against children while also seeking to remove violent criminal aliens from the country through coordinated law enforcement actions.
