A Worcester man, Andres DeJesus, 66, has been sentenced to 12 years in federal prison for possession of child pornography. The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Richard G. Stearns on February 4, 2026. Following his prison term, DeJesus will serve five years of supervised release.

DeJesus pleaded guilty in October 2025 to one count of possession of child pornography. Authorities say that on August 8, 2025, DeJesus returned to Logan Airport from the Dominican Republic after being refused entry due to his status as a registered sex offender. During a search at the airport, officials found several articles of children’s clothing and a large amount of chocolate and other sweets in his luggage. A search of his cell phone revealed three videos containing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) within a Zip file. Further forensic analysis uncovered at least 600 images depicting CSAM.

In 2010, DeJesus was convicted in Middlesex County Superior Court for indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, possession of child pornography, and posing or exhibiting a child in a sexual act. He was sentenced then to eight years and one day in state prison.

United States Attorney Leah B. Foley stated: "United States Attorney Leah B. Foley; Michael J. Krol, Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations in New England; Jennifer De La O, Director of Field Operations, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Boston Field Office; and Chief Paul B. Saucier of the Worcester Police Department made the announcement today." The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David G. Tobin from the Major Crimes Unit.
