Executive Assistant Commissioner Diane J. Sabatino of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) posted a series of updates on social media between February 15 and February 16, 2026, highlighting recent law enforcement activity, an upcoming recruitment event, and the agency's core values.
On February 15, Sabatino reported that CBP officers at three ports of entry in Texas apprehended multiple individuals wanted for serious crimes. She wrote, "In a 72-hour period, @DFOLaredo CBP officers at three separate ports of entry (Laredo, Eagle Pass and Hidalgo) apprehended three men wanted on outstanding felony warrants for sex-related offenses.

The following day, Sabatino invited the public to participate in a virtual career event hosted by CBP. Later that same day—on Presidents Day—Sabatino recognized the value of public service within the agency’s mission. Sabatino serves as Executive Assistant Commissioner with U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Office of Field Operations (OFO), which is responsible for securing America’s borders at official ports of entry through enforcement actions such as arrests based on outstanding warrants and through community engagement initiatives like career expos.
