Michael Dino Peraino, a 64-year-old resident of Willcox, Arizona, has been sentenced to 156 months in federal prison for bank robbery. The sentencing took place on February 9, 2026, before U.S. District Judge Scott H. Rash. In addition to the prison term, Peraino will serve three years of supervised release.
Peraino had previously pleaded guilty to robbing a Chase Bank in Safford, Arizona. According to court records, on July 10, 2025, he entered the bank and handed a note to a teller demanding $10,000 in cash. He told the teller to hurry and claimed he had a firearm while making a gesture toward his waistband.
The investigation was conducted by the FBI Phoenix office in Sierra Vista and the Safford Police Department. The prosecution was handled by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona in Tucson.
