U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has reported the recent arrest of several individuals described as criminal illegal aliens, who have been convicted of serious offenses such as injury to a child, manslaughter, and sex crimes.
Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin stated, "While the media and sanctuary politicians continue to ignore American victims of illegal alien crime, our officers were arresting criminal illegal aliens. Yesterday, ICE arrested child abusers, killers, and sex offenders. Nearly 70% of all ICE arrests are of criminal illegal aliens convicted or charged with a crime in the U.S. Under Secretary Noem’s leadership, we are targeting public safety threats and getting them out of our country."
The list of recent arrests includes Miguel De La Cruz-Hernandez from Mexico, convicted for causing bodily injury to a child under 12 years old in Harris County, Texas; Luis Benavides-Nieto from El Salvador, convicted for voluntary manslaughter in Durham County, North Carolina; Marlon Masters from Jamaica, convicted for course of sexual conduct in White Plains, New York; Rafael Oran-Salas from Mexico, convicted for assault in Queens, New York; and Aslanbek Gutnov from Russia, convicted for robbery resulting in physical injury in New York City.
According to ICE statistics referenced by the agency, nearly 70 percent of its arrests involve non-citizens who have been charged with or convicted of crimes within the United States.
