The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) will hold its 2026 Small Business Day on March 17 in Albany. The event aims to give small business owners and their partners an opportunity to engage directly with New York legislators about the effects of taxes, regulations, and mandates on their businesses.
Senator George Borrello, who is a small business owner, NFIB member, and serves on the Senate Commerce, Economic Development and Small Business, and Finance Committees, will be one of the guest speakers. Assemblymember Marianne Buttenschon, Chair of the Assembly Small Business Committee, is also scheduled to speak at the event.
According to NFIB’s announcement: "Small Business Day is an opportunity to put a face on Main Street and protect your right to own, operate, and grow your small business in New York."
The event is free for participants but requires advanced registration. More information can be found at https://engage.nfib.org/events/96d26bd0-cc8f-4c93-9ae6-86b4b3e06d96/.
