The Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Education will hold a hearing titled “Building an AI-Ready America: Teaching in the AI Age” at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. The session will take place in Room 2175 of the Rayburn House Office Building.
This is the fourth hearing in a series focused on artificial intelligence and its impact on education. The subcommittee is chaired by Rep. Kevin Kiley (R-CA).
Witnesses scheduled to testify include Michele Blatt, State Superintendent of Schools for the West Virginia Department of Education; Aneesh Sohoni, CEO of Teach for America; Dr. David Slykhuis, Dean of Dewar College of Education and Human Services at Valdosta State University; and Allyson Knox, Senior Director of Education and Workforce Policy at Microsoft.
